Biography

Drako de Maugre, who had already been highly successful up to 1.55m with Alexandra Francart/FRA, really took off with Patrick Stühlmeyer: Victories in the prestigious Sires of the World show jumping competition in Lanaken/BEL and in the Grand Prix in Hangen a.T.W./GER, Pinneberg/GER and Opglabbeek/BEL, second place in the Nations Cup in Mannheim/GER and in the Grand Prix in Opglabbeek/BEL, third place in the Grand Prix in Münster/GER and ninth place in the Grand Prix in St. Tropez/FRA and Braunschweig/GER and in the Stuttgart German Masters. His debut successes in the Global Champions League steps in Rome/ITA, La Coruña/ESP, Madrid/ESP and Cannes/FRA, which made a decisive contribution to Team Riesenbeck’s overall victory, are particularly valuable. Drako de Maugre is currently second of the Bemer Riders Tour ahead of the final at the VR Classics in 2024 in Neumünster/GER. His sire Kannan is one of the most influential show jumping sires ever. For many years, he led the ranking of the best show jumping sires in the world and is currently placed third. He was himself highly successful internationally with the French rider Michel Hécart. He represented the French colours at the 2005 European Championships in San Patrignano/ITA. Very interesting outcross pedigree
