Biography
Oyun Shael is a black Akhal-Teke stallion, 163-187-20,0 who was born in 2007 at Shamborant Shael studfarm in Russia. His sire Garant was “discovered” in Uzbekistan where he first raced and then went on to compete in dressage up to Prix StGeorge level. He was then brought to Russia where he created something of a sensation and was used by several Akhal-Teke studs, such as Shael, Gurtbil and Kishen’ko. On his sire’s side Oyun descends from Geleshikli through Gaukhar, son of Garem, and has Absent/Ararat on dam’s sire side. Oyun is the only off-spring of his dam Dubur who was lost prematurely but had spectacular breeding, with Garem and Omar in her pedigree – some of the best performance lines in the Akhal-Teke breed.
