Biography

Ashdale Legend is an exciting young stallion who is licenced by AES. His breeding combines two of the best European stallions - Luidam and Lux Z. Ashdale Legend was selected to represent Team GB in the Nations Cup in 2022, proving he has the class and talent to be a top GP horse. He has inherited his ancestors’ winning qualities with a fantastic level-headed temperament, bravery, and scope. His technique over a fence has caught the eye of many professionals and will certainly be a name to look out for in 2023. Sire: Grand Prix showjumper, Luidam, one of the most consistent performers on the European circuit and a highly regarded stallion amongst showjumpers. He was part of the winning team in Dublin, Aachen and St Gallen. Luidam’s grandsire is the famous stallion Quidam de Revel. Dam: Lux Good, is by the famous Lux Z, one of the most successful stallions in international show jumping. With Jerry Smit, Lux Z participated in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and he won the Pulsar Crown competitions in Valkenswaard and Cannes. Lux Z’s total winnings amount to more than 1 million Euros. Lux Good has produced 1.60m show jumpers including Ashdale Luxara and Ashdale Luxon. Ashdale Legend’s full sister, Ashdale Luxara, competed internationally in CSI4* and 1.50m classes with many placings at International Grand Prix level. His maternal brother, Ashdale Luxon, is currently competing internationally with Jamie Wingrove.
