Biography

His sire is the great Cassini I, ridden by Bo Kristoffersen who qualified for the Bundeschampionat with seven wins as well as placings at Grand Prix classes in Münster, Kiel, Neumünster & Hamburg. They were members of the winning Danish Nations Cup team in Helsinki & represented Denmark at the European Championships. Cassini I himself is by the great Capitol who was 2nd on the WBFSH standings in 1999, & leading sire in 2000 & 2001. His progeny include Carthago, Cento & Indoctro, who was licensed in Holland. Cassini’s Chaplin’s dam is by Cascavelle, whose sire Cantus, was a monumental grey stallion with an overwhelming predisposition for jumping. He left a number of influential sires such as Come On (international show jumping successes with H.R.H. Haya Bint al Hussein), Calido I, Cyrano, Cassius Clay, Cristobal, Canaletto & Cascavelle. Cascavelle’s, dam Phaedra, (FN name Colanda) was a very successful sports horse.
