Blue Hors Dexter is probably the Danish-born stallion in recent times with the strongest performance pedigree. Both father and grandfather have been National champion in dressage, won the world cup qualifications and participated at the Olympic Games. The mother was the year in Danish Warmblood mare and No. 2 in young horses championship.
Dexter’s sire Blue Hors Don Schufro is the best and most successful breeding stallion that has ever been in Denmark. National champion in 2008 and bronze medal winner at the Olympics in Hong Kong. Father of a multitude of dressage horses, several of which are grand prix. Over 20 approved stallions, five times Sire of the Year, three of the Danish Warmblood and two in Oldenburg. Her mother, Lara Stone Vang was the winning Danish Warmblood mare in 2002 and was awarded the gold medal. Two years after she was No. 2 in young horses championship in Herning. Grandfather Blue Hors Cavan was not used much in breeding, as he was very active in sport, but from his few offspring he has really delivered top produce. Blue Hors Cavan is 4 x National champion in dressage, winning eight World Cup qualification and was No. 2 in finals in 2001. He has participated both at the European Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games in Athens. In total he has 49 grand-prix victories. In the third generation comes Holsteiner stallion Leandro, who has left his mark on the Danish with a myriad of good mares and riding horses – including breeding stallion Blue Hors Leredo, who have won at grand prix. Great-grandmother to Blue Hors Dexter, Sten Lykke Vang was even jump gold medal and Filly of the Year in 1991. She is mother and grandmother to a number of offspring, including four medal mares, 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
