His sire Chin Chin had a very impressive jumping career. In 1988 he won five competitions in the North American Champion League Circuit and finished 6th individually at the Olympic Games in Seoul. Four years later he attended the Olympic Games in Barcelona. In 1990 Chin Chin started in the inaugural World Equestrian Games in Stockholm. In 1989 and in 1990 he was placed in the finals of the World Cup in Dortmund and Tampa.
The offspring of Chin Chin include Ta Belle van Sombeke, Triomphe de Muze, Querly Chin, Phin Phin, Riot Gun van de Padenborre and Tedechine Sept, who are all consistent in their good results. Daughter Sancha la Silla was an individual finalist at the Olympic Games in London and won the Grand Prix of Wellington.
Chin Chin also has a number of approved sons: Classe, Zapatero, Arezzo, Chin Top, and Chin Quidam.
Chin Chin’s sire Constant descends from the famous Cor de la Bryere, known as the “Reserve Stallion of the Century”, second only to Landgraf I.
Whin Whin’s dam Rettina is by Wolfgang, a son of the legendary ‘preferent’ stallion Farn (by Fax I). Farn is well reputed through his progeny in showjumping, such as Odin N., Black and White Design, Trust Me, Nimmerdor, Opstalan’s Pasquino, Olympus, Put Optie, Sheffield, Orlando, Talman and Optiebeurs Investment, and as a grandsire of, for example, Felix. Farn has several approved sons, amongst them the world famous Nimmerdor. One of the most famous offspring of Wolfgang is Michael Whitaker’s Handel II. They achieved the unthinkable result in Stuttgart of winning both the Grand Prix and the Masters.
Rettina’s dam Gettina is by the Preferent stallion Nimmerdor, who was the foundation stallion of the VDL stud. He has 18 KWPN approved sons, amongst them Ahorn, Wellington, Goodtimes, and Heartbreaker; as well as 39 approved KWPN grandsons, such as Emilion, Farrington, Glennridge, Kalusha, Londontimes, Matterhorn, Ohorn, Pacific, Radisson and Sydney.
