Biography
Woodlander Sir Gorgeous is an ultra talented pony stallion with the whole package. To begin he gained an Elite BEF Futurity Premium (Dressage) as a foal with a score of 9.12, and began his BD career in 2016 as a 4 year old and already has a fantastic BD record. Sir Gorgeous may have the stunning pony looks but moves like a horse and needs to be seen to be believed. Due to this he is now being aimed at Grand Prix, instead of Pony FEI Medium tests, as there are no weaknesses in his work and is extremely talented for the higher levels of dressage. 2017 will be Sir Gorgeous’ first season at stud. Sir Gorgeous will be suitable for all types of pony mare to produce outstanding sports ponies. He has incredible movement along with an outstanding easy temperament to produce successful Champion ponies. Sire: By the Sir Donnerhall stallion, Woodlander Santana, who is from one of the best Hanoverian dam lines and boasts a fabulous cocktail of dressage performance blood. Santana scored 88.83% and placed 2nd in the Abbey Dressage Badminton Young Horse Qualifier for 4&5 year olds and also qualified for the Shearwater International by winning the Qualifier at the Welsh Festival. Dam: Synod Galina was bred at the world famous Welsh Synod Stud, which has bred multiple Welsh Champions. Galina also produced the Wavavoom filly, Woodlander Wagalina, who became Champion British Dressage Young Pony 5 year old in 2016, and the Debonair filly, Lochlane Dreamweaver, who was awarded a Gold Premium in the 2015 SPSS Evaluations. This mare clearly produces Champion sports ponies! Damsire: Synod Rum Punch was Champion at the Royal Welsh in 1999, his sire, Synod William, was Royal Welsh Champion 4 times and his grandsire, Menai Fury, was legendary as a crowd pleaser, sensational mover and influential sire. Synod William was also the sire of Synod Magnus the British Breeding/Ponies UK Top British-bred Dressage Pony 2007.
