Biography

Catchuno – light, ultra-modern and blood-shaped are the first attributes that come to mind when we see this stallion. Father Cardento himself has proven himself at the highest level. Under Peter Eriksson, he won the silver medal at the World Championships, the European Championships and the Olympic Games in Athens. He won the Nations Cups of Rome, Drammen and Ikast, as well as the Grand Prix of Holte, Helsingborg, Ängelholm, Gera and Kungsbacka (2x). In international sport, he is one of the most important Holstein sires of all and always produces offspring that cause a sensation at 5* level. Catchuno's dam Intschuschuna SV is an in-house breeding product in the second generation, at the age of 5 and 6 she was awarded top marks as an absolute serial winner in show jumping tests, and at the age of 5 she advanced to become Vice National Champion of Holstein show jumpers. She has everything that has distinguished the Holsteiner 730 b line for generations – the highest rideability values, canter ability and willingness to perform. Granddam Donna Luzie is a half-sister to 6 international sport horses. MMM Luzie I is a full sister to the horses Cascano and Calmar, who were successful in 1.60 m show jumping, as well as to Intschuschuna, the dam of the world-famous Lacrimoso HDC. Catchuno himself convinces with a canter in a class of its own, with a lot of balance, jumped upwards and active hind leg, he shows a relaxed and powerful sequence of movements. In walk and trot, he presents himself confidently in time, equipped with a lot of diligence and enough space. The jumping convinces with light-footedness, a very good bascule over the jump, great caution and the very good-opening, powerful hindquarters. Catchuno impresses with a lot of expression and nobility as well as a light foundation in the desired rectangular format. Overall harmoniously constructed with a very good uphill impression, it is recommended as a refiner for a wide base of mares.
