Biography
For the first time in the history of the Selle Français studbook, Cher Epoux won the Selle Français Stallion Championship at 2 and 3 years old. Faced with the best young breeders in France, CHER EPOUX dazzled his generation with all his intelligence and his aptitude for sport. Entrusted to Marie Bouchanville, he then confirmed on the SHF young eventing horse circuit by obtaining the excellent label at 4 & 5 years old, then finishing Elite at 6 years old. CHER EPOUX crosses particularly well with very responsive or even hot show-jumping mares. It helps to stabilize the influx without diluting the blood. He is a horse infused with thoroughbreds that does not heat up at all. The foals often keep the bone of the mother. His offspring are very successful in both Showjumping and Eventing. Among its first offspring: Iron Man de Favray, ISO 140, 4/5/6 y.o. finalist ; Hold Up de Longueraie, ICC 140, ranked in CCI2*-S with Astier Nicolas, Hakounamata’Ka ICC 126 ridden by Nicolas Touzaint, Harkana Vicart ISO 132 with Emeric George (CSI2*).
