Biography
Ducati was the champion stallion at the British Hanoverian Horse Society and Warmblood Breeders’ Studbook UK licensing in 2022. He is an elegant, beautiful, modern type with an elastic trot and canter. He is also supple, adjustable and intelligent over jumps, coming from an Elite damline of event horses. Sire, Desperados FRH, was a beautiful black horse, formidable in competition and as a breeding stallion. He ranked number 1 for Dressage horses in the 2016 WBFSH Rankings and was crowned Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2016. In 2004 he was awarded premium status at his licensing under saddle, before going on to complete his 30 day test and to win the Bundeschampionat as a 3 year old. Initially competed by Falk Rosenbauer, he won the 2010 Hamburg Dressage GP Derby. In 2011, Kristina Sprehe took over the ride and Desperados was awarded the Otto Lorke Prize as Top Young Grand Prix horse. They won medals at the 2012 London Olympics, 2014 World Equestrian Games and 2013 and 2015 European Championships. At the Rio Olympics in 2016 they won Team Gold. In 2012 Desperados took the Grande Prize entitling him to his FRH suffix. Consolidated success sits behind Desperados on his sire line with De Niro, himself a successful Grand Prix stallion, he topped the WBFSH Sire Rankings from 2012 to 2018 with the exception of only one year. Further behind comes Wolkenstein II who was Three Year Old Bundeschampion and the sire of over 40 internationally
