Biography
A correct and modern stallion with excellent breeding. He has a bold and scopey jump with a phenomenal back end. His super paces are naturally straight and elevated. His Thoroughbred influence makes him a fantastic refining stallion for the heavier showjumping mare resulting in more agile and athletic offspring. El Thuder showed his agile movement and consistent, bold jump from a young age, at his grading he won the loose jumping competition and was a finalist in 5,6 and 7 year old classes due to his continuous form he was selected to represent GB at the world championship for young horses, Lanaken. At only 7 he was 3rd in the Hickstead Speed Derby. He continued to jump up to GP 1.40 and was selected for the BS Gold Programme in 2016. Since 2018, he has mainly concentrated on his breeding work but is still in work and goes to stallion parades/ county and local shows. El Thuder has had excellent crosses with event mares producing some super youngstock that have gone onto winning and achieving 1st Premiums at Young Horse Evaluations.
Notable Progeny
His progeny are renowned for their fun, straightforward, trainable characters and also show consistency competing in all disciplines. He really stamps his offspring, they are all usually bay or dark bay with very little white markings (he did breed one grey horse!). His eldest stock are 10 years old and are already competing internationally at 4* & 5* shows. including the very talented graded stallion son Lord Thuder (jumping 1.45m), Jessica Mendoza’s NP Zelah (jumping 1.45m), Amelia 16 (jumped 1.35m)& Rumbolds Starlight (jumping 1.50m/1.55m).
