Biography

Hesselhoej Donkey Boss is an exceptional stallion bred for success with a proven, high performance dam-line and full brother to Hesselhoej Downtown, who won WCYH for 5 years old in 2021, and went on to win silver as a 6 year old. Donkey Boss is sired by the well known stallion Hesselhoej Donkey Boy, who is the only horse to have won the Championship finals in Denmark as a 4, 5, 6 and 7 year old. Hesselhoej Donkey Boy was a Premium stallion as a 3 year old and subsequently won his stallion performance test. He received bronze at WCYH at 5 years old and silver at WCYH at 7 years old. Additionally, as one of the youngest stallions, he has been awarded Elite stallion status at the age of just 8 years old and Stallion of the Year in 2023 at just 11 years old. The dam of Hesselhoej Donkey Boss is Boogie Woogie, a silver medal mare with a fantastic riding test score of 851.00 points, including a 9.5 for her walk. During the 5 year old Championship in Herning, she achieved 9th place and has proved many times that she is one of the best mares in her age group. Boogie Woogie has since been ridden through S-dressage under Anders Hoeck and they have had many victories and placings with up to 75%. The granddam of Hesselhoej Donkey Boss is Kabooki, who was named a silver medal mare after passing one of the year's highest riding tests. Kabooki has therefore, been awarded Elite status, due to the exceptional achievements of her offspring. Grandsire Blue Hors Zack needs no introduction. He has been a regular part of the Danish national team for many years, including a win in the Danish Championships in 2019. He has many top offspring at international level and has really shown his impact through his many approved sons, WCYH medal winners and, highly decorated mares. Great grandsire Ragazzo is behind many successful horses in both breeding and sport. Ragazzo himself is the full brother of Donnerschlag, who competed at Grand Prix dressage level.
