Biography

Hymnus, a striking black stallion with an extremely athletic personality, shines with his uphill going, supple movements. He has a ground covering walk with good rhythm, an expressive trot with lots of flexibility of the shoulder and a powerful canter with an active hind leg. His unique character, great mind and super rideability make Hymnus a very special stallion and a joy to his people every day. He has had the time to develop his sporting career slowly, being still in the initial stages. In 2020, Hymnus passed an amazing 50-day performance test in Adelheidsdorf (overall score 7.94). A year later, he made his debut at the International Trakehner National Championships, where he finished second in the novice level dressage horse ability test with a score of 8.5. His sire Grimani by Gribaldi/Monteverdi not only competed in the final of the 2019 Burgpokal with Mathias Bouten, but was also successful in international Intermediaire II and Prix St. Georges-tests. With three outstanding basic gaits and a willingness to collect and develop extension, Hymnus is one of Meggle's most promising prospects. Fortunately, he passes on his talent and work ethic to his offspring.
