Biography

Luidam competed with Ireland’s Billy Twomey in Nations Cups, European Championships and World Championships. Billy describes him as ‘one of the best horses I have ever ridden’. Luidam is a HSI5* rated stallion. Luidam’s sire Guidam was KWPN ‘Stallion of the Year’ and was granted KWPN Keur status. Guidam is by the legendary showjumping stallion Quidam de Revel. Luidam’s dam, Eljenohve, was awarded the title of Preferent Elite by the KWPN, and from this damline,descend Orsini (international at CSI2* 2016), Watermill Scandic, & Chaman, one of the world’s most successful show jumpers. Michael Whitaker described Luidam as ’one of the most exciting and promising new stallions to breeding programmes in many years’. Luidam has definitely been a highly influential stallion in show jumping, whose progeny jump internationally at top level. Luidam was one of the most consistent performers on the European circuit. His progeny tend to have good scope, a level headed temperament and athletic movement. Luidam is a stallion chosen by serious show jumping breeders who are aiming to breed top jumping sports horses.
