Biography
O’Conner Hefo, also known as ‘Bollywood’, is the son of the late Grand Prix stallion; Bernay, ridden by Simone Pearce. Bernay's production is of superior quality as well. Numerous foals of his were awarded a premium in several breeding areas, where they were sold for top prices. Bernay himself qualified for the 5 year old class at the Bundeschampionat. He is a reputed sire that is largely in demand, with many successful offspring. O'Conner Hefo's Damline is that of Glan Ster (Ampere x Belisar). Glan’s first colt ‘Cupido’, passed the second round of KWPN licensing and is now successfully competing in the U.S. and her half sister, Feline has competed up to Inter II level. Glan has a wonderful temperament and has done some competing herself. She is an elegant mare with lovely paces, who usually throws large foals. Aside from being elegantly built with three lovely paces, O'Conner Hefo is a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. His best quality is his rideability, he is easy going and loves his work, it just comes naturally to him. He has a lovely big walk, with natural cadence in the trot and an exceptional, uphill canter where his hind steps under him as he pushes forward. He has presence in an arena and looks striking, with his a liver chestnut colouring. He is definitely one to look out for in the future, which is why he will be moving to India for the 2023 breeding season. His frozen semen doses are very limited! Fun fact O'Conner Hefo, 'Bollywood', loves his carrots and scratches. He’s a gentle giant, which he would likely pass onto his foals. A lovely character is essential for a good sport horse!
