Biography

A true jewel of our collection! With Ogano Sitte, our breeders have a stallion at their disposal who has proven himself at the highest level in breeding and sport. Under the rider Dominique Hendrickx, Ogano Sitte achieved international success at 4-star level and won the 1.60 m Grand Prix CSI**** in Naples. His enormous fighting spirit and excellent attitude distinguish him. His sire Darco, who won all the Grand Prix and finished seventh in the individual ranking at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, shaped the international show jumping scene with offspring such as Sapphire (Mc Lain Ward/USA), Parco (Ludo Philippaerts/BEL) and Winningmood (Luciana Diniz/POR). The suffix "Sitte" goes back to Ogano SItte's great-granddam Gute Sitte, a successful Hanoverian daughter of the stamp stallion Grande out of a pure thoroughbred dam, who won team bronze at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montréal with Eric Wauters/BEL. The name "Sitte" stands worldwide for exceptional quality in show jumping, toughness and fighting spirit. More than 60 offspring have made it into the big sport and are impressing on the international stage. Successful offspring include Arac du Seigneur under Angelique Rüsen (GER), H&M Ikker under the Philippaerts brothers (BEL), Sisley de la Tour Vidal under Pénélope Leprévost (FRA), Aganix du Seigneur under Jos Lansink (BEL), Button Sitte under Richard Moloney (IRL), Viego les Hauts under Victoria Gulliksen (NOR), Gaudi under Paola Amilibia (MEX), Legend under Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP) and Thelma ala Tour Vidal under Koti Sato (JAP). Equipped with stable, correct legs, standing in a rectangular format, with a firm topline and good pasture, the physique of this stallion embodies the decisive attributes for longevity, hardness and endurance. The extremely expansive trot and the active, balanced canter round off the "complete package" Ogano Sitte. Seeds available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
