Biography

Orleans VDL - a son of the sought-after sire Conthargos, who is currently represented by several offspring in the most difficult show jumping competitions in the world. With Heartbreaker and Carthago, there are also two other top-class stallions in his pedigree, who have proven themselves and through their offspring that top-class sport is anchored in their genetics. His dam Happy Day Z by Heartbreaker has already produced internationally successful horses up to 1.60 - level and is none other than the full sister of the well-known sire and Olympic horse Hardrock Z. In addition to Hardrock Z, the granddam Carte Blanche Z by Carthago has produced other outstanding offspring who have arrived in top-class sport, such as Charlemagne JT Z or Be the Freak JT Z. Orleans himself is an expressive horse that immediately attracts everyone's attention. Equipped with incredibly good reflexes and enormously high rideability values, he masters the course with a lot of overview and powerful kicking at the jump. His dynamic and relaxed movement sequence in all three basic gaits make riders and spectators even more enthusiastic about him. He already attracted particular attention at the KWPN licensing in Ermelo. The commission describes Orleans as a highly developed horse that stands perfectly in the rectangular model with a well-placed collar that blends harmoniously into the body. Light in the foundation, his conformation has a very good quality. His first crop of foals was born in the Netherlands, and his foals are very much influenced by their father, light-footed, uphill and with beautiful faces. We are eagerly awaiting the first crop of foals to be born in Germany this year.
