Biography
Total Hope has made history. In 2019, he won the Nuremberg Burg Cup and in 2021, the Louisdor Prize, something that no other stallion in the long history of the two most important young horse competitions has ever achieved. And both times, ridden by Isabel Freese, he won in an absolutely impressive manner - clearly ahead of the strong competition. For his piaffe, passage and tempi changes in the Grand Prix Final in Kronberg, the judges awarded scores up to 10 - a total of 77.54 percent. “That was a very mature performance”, commented Dr. Dietrich Plewa. “What is particularly impressive about this horse is that nothing seems trained or mechanical. This is the result of systematic training” Without a doubt, Total Hope has inherited the talent for collection from his parents, who are none other than Totilas and Weihegold. With his triumph in the 2019 Burg Cup, Total Hope was already in a league of his own. Commentator Christoph Hess spoke of an equestrian revelation: "Pure potential for collection - at 7 years old! This horse has an aura, a charisma, you can already see the possible future of this prospect Total Hope. A jewel, an equestrian caviar bite that couldn't be better, who has been incredibly well presented.” Previously, the Swedish licensing winner, dressage champion and finalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses (6y.o.) had won bronze at the World Championships for seven-year-old dressage horses with Isabel Freese/NOR. Total Hope OLD’s first sons have been licensed. Furstepoppel/Emma Ahlberg/SWE took part in the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses in Verden in 2021. Total Target, already placed internationally in tests for young dressage horses, was one of the top bids at the P.S.I. Auction. The colt Total Amour was the 25,500 Euro top price at the DSP Online Auction. His sire Totilas won double gold at the European Championships in Windsor/GBR in 2009 and triple gold at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington/USA in 2010. Furthermore, he was unbeatable at the World Cup Final in 2010 in 's-Hertogenbosch/NED and achieved numerous world record scores. He has produced almost 30 licensed stallions, including our stallion Total Diamond PS. In sport, Total U.S./Edward Gal/NED, Go Legend/Marlies van Baalen/NED and Te Quiero SF/Christian Schumach/AUT, who were successful at the Olympic Games, amongst others, made a name for themselves, and immediately put Totilas in seventh place in the ranking of the world's best dressage sires (according to WBFSH). His dam Weihegold OLD was Oldenburg Champion Mare, winner of the Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize and, ridden by Isabell Werth, Olympic Gold medallist, triple World Cup winner and fourfold European Champion. She also produced the licensed stallion Jewels Sir Weihbach (by Sir Donnerhall I), who was successful up to Inter I with Tristan Tucker/AUS. Her daughters have also produced licensed stallions. St.Pr.St. Weihcine (by Fürst Heirnich) produced the Oldenburg licensing Reserve Champion Dodo Weihgand (by Diamond Hit), St.Pr.St. Aweih (by Apache) produced the Westphalian Champion Stallion Extra Gold (by Escolar), St.Pr.St. Weihcera
