Uivador Da Broa

Biography

Uivador Da Broa is a Purebred Lusitano stallion and is the only Stallion in Britain with Pure Veiga bloodlines. He has achieved fantastic success winning the Chamipon Male at The International Festival of the Lusitano in Portugal in 2008 and then winning UK Champion of Champions 2009 at the Lusitanos Breed Society of GB. His progeny also all won their classes with his 2 year old filly Capriole being crowned youngstock Champion and overall Female Chamipon and Charneca winning the Part-bred Championship. Uivador has received 2 gold medals and in addition to these honours has now been awarded the prestigious Recommended **** studhorse status by the APSL, the governing body to approve, regulate and promote the national horse of Portugal (the Lusitano Breed). This status is only awarded to the highest quality stallions that the APSL recommend for breeding. Uivador, bred by Manuel Travares Veiga, is the first, and currently only stallion in the UK to be given this status. He is available at stud by AI, frozen and chilled semen (available from Twemlows Stallion AI services by arrangement). Having been in Portugal for 2 years, where he was highly sought after by the top Portuguese breeders, Uivador returned back home to North Wales in February 2009. He is unique, has to be seen to be believed. Taller than the usual Veiga standing at 17hh he maintains all the typical Lusitano looks.
