An almost unbelievable feat which emphasises his proven ability to sire horses for the ultimate eventing tests.
No74 on 2018 WBFSH Eventing Sire Rankings
Tajraasi is a proven producer of top-level event horses. He has sired 6 sport horses of international competition age on the Irish Horse Register and has 2 horses competing at top level eventing – a phenomenal success rate.
Tajraasi is the sire of Alfies Clover, an established competitor at the highest level. Alfies Clover finished 7th at both Burghley CCI5*-L and Bramham CCI4*-L in 2018 with a double clear jumping at both events.

Richard Jones: “Alfies Clover and Kilballyboy Bob are the two best horses I have ridden. They both have everything you need for top level. To have an outstanding sire like Tajraasi in the UK is a really exciting opportunity for British breeders.”
Tajraasi is a thoroughbred stallion with exceptional genetics. His pedigree is filled with Grade 1 winners of the highest calibre from top to bottom.
Tajraasi is the full brother to Germany, dual Grade 1 winner and top National Hunt stallion. Germany is the sire of Champion Hurdler Faugheen and Cheltenham Festival winners Samcro and Captain Cee Bee.
His sire, Trempolino, won the 1987 Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe, a Group 1 and widely regarded as one of the most prestigious races in the World.
His damsire, Big Spruce, was a dual Grade 1 winner and was named “one of North America’s leading runners in the 1970s” by the Thoroughbred Times.
His granddam, Inca Queen, was also a Grade 1 winner in the USA and the dam of multiple black type performers.
His great-granddam, Silver Spoon, was Champion 3yo Filly in the USA in 1959 and her 13 wins included the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby against the colts.
The opportunity for sport horse breeders to use a thoroughbred stallion of this genetic quality is very rare indeed.
Ian Stark: “I’m a thoroughbred man through and through so to have a full thoroughbred stallion of Tajraasi’s quality standing in the UK is very exciting”
Andrew Nicholson: “Tajraasi is exactly what sport horse breeders should use on their non-TB mares. He is a proven sire of 5* event horses and a full brother to Germany, a hugely successful National Hunt sire. When selecting young horses, I always prefer a horse who has a full TB sire as I have found this a key component for trainability, athleticism and longevity in the event horses I have produced.”
Piggy French: “Everyone keeps saying the same thing: we need more blood. Tajraasi is a fabulous stallion to keep the blood in British breeding. He’s already proved he can produce the horses we need for the biggest competitions in the sport.”
Harry Meade: “Thoroughbred blood is as important as ever and it’s becoming increasingly hard to find appropriate sires. Tajraasi has proved that his progeny can compete at the highest level; his offspring consistently show impressive movement and jump combined with the much sough-after quality of his TB lines.”
Kitty King: “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to put my mare Zidante to such a fantastic TB stallion as Tajraasi, who has proven 5* event progeny. It is so hard to find top class TBs to put to sport horse mares and even harder to find ones that offer AI. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they produce.”
